Mrs. Julie Bingler

Hello and welcome to the 2021-22 school year.  I am one of the two Speech-Language Pathologists at Patriots Elementary School.  I have worked in the public schools since 1996 and have been at Patriots since it opened in 2008.   Before beginning work in the pubic schools I worked for a rehabilation company for 5 years.  I attended Western Carolina University and earned a bachelor's degree in 1984 and a Master's Degree in 1986.  My degree is a Master of Arts in Education in Communication Disorders. I decided at an early age that I wanted to be a Speech-Language Pathologist when I volunteered at a school for the deaf in Georgia while in elementary school.  I love working with students in small groups and collaborating with teachers to help students succeed in their classrooms.   

I have been married to my husband Scott for 35 years.  We have three boys, ages 31, 26 and 20.  My husband and all three of my boys are Eagle Scouts.  My youngerst son Zack, built an outdoor classroom for Patriots for his Eagle Scout project.  He is a Senior at UNC-Wilmington and will graduate in May.  My other sons graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  My oldest son Richie, is a Captian for the Charlotte Fire Fighter and my middle son, Ben works for a Computer Recycling company in Charlotte.

Things that I enjoy are spending time with my family, especially at the beach, and spending time with my two labrador retreivers, Mack and Cooper and reading and doing crafts.
