Mrs. Kelly Rouse-5th Grade Teacher

Welcome to 5th Grade at Patriots Elementary!  I am so excited for this year, and I hope that you feel the same.  It is going to be a great year with many fun and exciting days!  5th grade is also going to be a year of great growth for your child.  We will be working hard on our preparation for middle school!  I will be your child's teacher for ELA and Social Studies.

Because I am going to be with your child throughout the year, I thought that you might like to know a little about me.  I am originally from Ohio and moved to Charlotte 18 years ago (Go Buckeyes!!).  I have been teaching for 21 ½ years and have been privileged enough to teach Kindergarten, 3, 4, 6, and 8th grade.  I am excited to add 5th grade to this list !  Throughout my teaching years, I received my Masters Degree in Education and National Board Certification.  My husband, Stacy, and I have two children, Lilly (12) and Aidan (8).  Motherhood suites me and I am loving every second with them!
