2019 Sept Moving Future Forward Award

Congratulations to our September CTE Moving Futures Forward Award Recipient: CCGMS Business Teacher Ms. Smalls CTEC Mr. Elliott, API Mr. Crews and Principal Nash planned a September 30th Surprise Patrol for Ms. Jeanette Smalls. Ms. Smalls was selected as September CTE Moving Futures Forward Award Recipient. She teaches business courses to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Jeanette was chosen for this award because she developed a Quarter Entrepreneurship PBL in June for her students and submitted her results to the Brian Hamilton Foundation and she was featured in a recent newsletter for her students’ innovation in developing project artifacts. Additionally, Ms. Smalls displayed teacher leadership in July/August by co-presenting PBL strategies to high school and middle CTE teachers across the district. Assistant Principal of Instruction Jerome Crews said “I’m was proud of the work Ms. Smalls is providing for our CTE students and is welldeserving of the award.” Thank you Outback of the Greater Charlotte Area for sponsoring our September Award Winner. Next month, it could be any CTE Teacher at CC Griffin or CCHS!
