Ms. Lori Perry

Welcome! 2019 will be my first year teaching 7th grade social studies, and my 10th as a full time teacher at C. C. Griffin.  I began my career as an E/LA teacher and will incorporate reading strategies and literacy skills into the Social Studies classroom.

 

C. C. Griffin has been my second home since 2006, first as a parent  and then as a teacher. I have never worked at another school - I am, and always will be, a Gryphon!

 

My daughter, Jessica, is a junior at UNC Wilmington, and my son, Jacob, is an Industrisl Designer at West Elm in Brooklyn, NY.  When I am not at Griffin, I enjoy reading, cooking, listening to The Avett Brothers, traveling (near and far) and spending time with my family and friends. 

 

You can find our class syllabus under Class Documents.  I do not assign homework other than studying for tests.  Please sign up for Powerschool so that you can keep an eye on your child's grades, however, your child should assume responsibility for his/her performance.   

 

 

I welcome communication with parents  -  I encourage it!  We are partners when it comes to educating the whole child, and I hope to have your support.   The best way to reach me is through email: lori.perry@cabarrus.k12.nc.us  You can leave a message on the school's voicemail system, but that is not as reliable - 704-260-6410.  You can send a note with your child, but middle schoolers have a tendency to forget to deliver those notes.  Any way you choose to communicate is fine with me as long as we keep those lines of communication open!
