Ms. Natalia Mejia

Hello! Bienvenidos! I am so excited to be a Mighty Gryphon! I am an Alumna of UNC Charlotte’s Cato College of Education. I graduated with honors in Elementary Education and a double minor in Reading and Teaching English as a Second Language. My passion for education comes from the desire to be an agent of change. That passion was born from the limited cultural connections to my Puerto Rican and Honduran roots throughout my elementary, middle, and high school years. The lack of representation in the classroom sparked my desire to teach and to pursue an education degree at UNC Charlotte. I love to read (beat my goal for the year!), Dunkin' Donut's Carmel Crazed ice lattes, a good laugh, the Avengers, a nice pair of sneakers, and trying new foods! I am so excited to celebrate your child's and my culture in the classroom next year as the ELL teacher! Go Gryphons!
