Mrs. Jill Staton

Hello everyone!  My name is Jill Staton.  I am the STEM specials teacher at Patriots STEM Elementary.  I am originally from Saugerties, NY, but I have lived most of my life in Kannapolis, NC.  I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in English and a MEd in Elementary Education.  I am also a National Board Certified teacher.  I have worked for Cabarrus County Schools for 19 years.  I began teaching at Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary and then moved to Patriots 9 years ago.  I have taught K, 2nd, and 5th grade with most of my time in Kindergarten.  I'm very excited to continue my journey by teaching STEM to the entire school!

When I am not at school, I enjoy being with my family...we always have adventures!  I have twins (boy & girl) that are 27, a daughter that is 21, and another daughter that is 14.  I just became a grandmother to a beautiful little girl. We also have 4 chickens (all girls), 4 ducks (all boys), 2 dogs, a guinea pig, and a bucket of worms.  Life is never dull!
