Q&A
-
When will ballots be mailed to voters?
Posted by:The Kitsap County Auditor will mail ballots to voters in late January (approximately Jan. 26, 2024). All ballots must be deposited at a polling location by 8 p.m. on Feb. 13, or returned by US mail (postmarked by Feb. 13 — note, a stamp is not required).
-
Do possible school closures/consolidations in 2024-25 SY impact these levies?
Posted by:Possible school closure/consolidation would not diminish the need for these levies. Projecting our current revenue/expenditures into next year, BISD is faced with an anticipated $3.5-$4.5 million shortfall. If BISD no longer receives funding from the levies in 2025 (remember, collection on these levies would begin in 2025), we would need to cut our budget by approximately an additional $15.9 million.
