The High School French Club is open for membership to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors enrolled in French at Red Hook High School. The mission of the club is to promote appreciation of French Language and Culture. Some of the activities organized by members of the French Club are Soirees de Conversation and French movie nights. The club also does fund raising to help students earn money towards the cost of the bi-annual French trip.
FRENCH CLUB AT MILL RD. One of the most successful activities planned by French Club is an after school enrichment program at Mill Road Elementary. High School students teach basic French through songs, crafts and games. Two 6-week long sessions are offered each year.
The cost of the program is $60.00 per student. Funds raised through French Club are applied to the cost of the student/instructors' trip to France.
THE FRENCH TRIP- There is a trip 10-day trip planned to Paris, the Loire Valley and Bretagne for the Spring of 2021. This trip is open to high school students in enrolled in French. We are traveling with Education First Tours (EF TOURS). Please see Mrs. Gilbert if you are interested in joining us.
*The French Trip is not a function of the French Club. However, many students have participated in fund raisers organized by French Club to help defray the cost of their class trip. Students do not have to join French Club to go on the French class trip.
