All current and new transportation childcare request forms due by April 1
Per NYS Education Law 3635, applications for transportation for childcare and to nonpublic schools are due by April 1 of each year.
A letter will be sent out to families at the beginning of March, asking you to provide information about your childcare needs for 2018-19. Please complete one form per child.

With the impending winter storm, all after school activities/events are cancelled TODAY & TOMORROW, Fri 1/12 and Sat 1/13. This information will be posted also on the District’s social media accounts, and on local TV and radio stations as it becomes available.

District message on the WM High Acres Landfill
Dear Fairport School Community:
The health, safety and welfare of our students and staff is of utmost importance. Recently, I heard concerns that the odors from the Waste Management (WM) High Acres Landfill are compromising the learning environment in classrooms at schools in proximity to the site.
Community invited for input on 2018-19 budget, Jan. 17
Fairport Central School District will host a Community Group Budget Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at the Brooks Hill cafeteria at 7 p.m., with District administration, for community members to have an opportunity to engage in deeper discussions and provide input on the upcoming 2018-19 budget development process. The meeting is open to all District residents and school community members.
Kindergarten registration begins Feb. 6
Children who will be five years old, on or before Dec. 1, 2018, are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year at Fairport Central School District. The District is encouraging parents to register their child during the week of Feb. 5.

The Fairport Central School District has launched its new website, which began on Jan. 1. The website will further enhance communication efforts with the school community.
The new website integrates a responsive layout that adapts to different screen viewers, including smart phones, tablets and desktop computers, as well as multiple web browsers.
Meningococcal Vaccine requirements for grades 7, 8 & 12
All students entering grades 7, 8 and 12 for the 2017-18 school year must have the meningococcal vaccine. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Summer construction & restricted access to schools
The Fairport Central School District is continuing work on the 2015 Capital Improvement Project. A majority of work begins June 26 and is estimated to be completed by the upcoming fall.
Due to the multitude of work that is scheduled to occur, some Fairport schools will have restricted access until construction is complete,
