Students in the French program at Martha Brown are participating in an international activity, “Manie Musicale,” which pits popular French-language songs against each other in a single-elimination bracket,

The March Fairport Board of Education Workshop will now be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Transportation Center.

Johanna Perrin student recognized for act of kindness
Ella Pendry saw someone who needed help – so she helped. It was a simple act of kindness without consideration or expectation of reward, and she did it because it was the right thing to do. That’s why the Johanna Perrin eighth-grader is being recognized for her selflessness and quick thinking by the Rochester Police Department with the “Do The Right Thing” Award this month.
Mask Mandate Lifted – Effective, Wednesday, March 2

2022-23 School Calendar is now available
The Fairport Board of Education approved the 2022-23 School Calendar at the Feb. 15, 2022 Board of Education meeting. This calendar is now available on the District website under the ‘Quick Links’ menu, then ‘Calendars’.
Non-Instructional Budget presented to Board, Feb. 15
Superintendent of Schools Brett Provenzano and Assistant Superintendent for Business Matt Stevens presented the 2022-23 non-instructional budget to the Board of Education at its Board of Education Meeting, Feb. 15.

February Board of Education meeting time change
The February 15 Fairport Board of Education meeting will convene at 5:45 p.m. and immediately go into Executive Session, which is closed to the public. The regularly scheduled public Board meeting will begin after Executive Session concludes.

Fairport’s BOE debuts video series!
The Fairport Board of Education (BOE) is debuting its new video series with the goal of introducing its seven Board members over the course of the next few months. In addition, each video will have a focus on the work of the BOE.

Special Board Workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 9; In-Person & Streamed LIVE at 5 p.m.
The Board of Education will hold a special Board Workshop on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, beginning at 5 p.m. The meeting is open to the community to attend in-person at Fairport High School Room 512, and it will also be streamed live on YouTube. There are no Public Comments at workshop meetings.
