As the District had previously communicated through the school budget process, over the next three years the Fairport Central School District will receive funding from the Federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act. These one-time funding streams will allow the District to provide necessary programs and services during this time when the District is moving out of the pandemic and more students are returning to in-person instruction.
The District is interested in seeking community feedback for how it could use the federal funding. The District has created a new ThoughtExchange to offer staff, students, families, and community members to engage with the District and provide input on this process of allotting the new monies. After receiving community input, the District will create a plan for how it will utilize the funds. The plan will be shared with school community members by July 1, 2021.
