Fairport Central School District

Todd Monahan

The Fairport Central School District Board of Education appointed Todd Monahan as the District’s safety and security coordinator on Nov. 17, 2020. Monahan has been with the District since May 2016 serving as a sentry at Johanna Perrin Middle School. He will begin his new role on Nov. 23.

As safety and security coordinator, Monahan will coordinate the District’s safety and security policies and procedures. The work involves development, review and recommendation of procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff and visitors. Monahan will work closely with the sentries and be a co-facilitator of the District Safety Committee.

“I look forward to working with administration, faculty, staff, and the community in continuing to make the Fairport School District a safe and secure learning environment for everyone,” said Monahan.

Monahan brought his extensive experience in law enforcement to the District in 2016. He worked for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for more than 20 years, from patrol officer to sergeant.

This is a very important role for our District; we are eager to have the position in place and to have found such an exceptional candidate to support safety and security in our schools,” said Superintendent Brett Provenzano.
