Fairport Central School District

Dear Fairport Community:

This letter is to inform you that two students have tested positive for COVID-19, one at Northside Elementary School and one at Johanna Perrin Middle School.

The District has collaborated with the Monroe County Department of Health (MCDOH). All contact tracing has been completed. If you and or your child(ren) have not been contacted, there is no exposure. If the MCDOH indicates there is anything further that needs to occur at the District level, we will keep you updated. Per Federal privacy laws, the District is unable to legally disclose any further details or personal identifiable information.

You can find updated information on our process for COVID-19 cases on our website here.

The origin of our positive cases continues to occur outside of our schools. This reinforces the importance of following the DOH guidance while on school grounds and outside as well. Best practices – mask wearing, staying physically distant from others, and washing our hands – will continue to be at the forefront as we continue to do everything we can to mitigate the risk and minimize the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for continuing to focus on these healthy practices with your children.

Sincerely,

Brett Provenzano
Superintendent of Schools
