The Fairport Central School District is pleased to announce Sarah Klosner as the new assistant principal of Dudley School. She is currently the lead teacher of Dudley School. Klosner was appointed by the Board of Education at its June 23 meeting.
With 12 years of experience in education, Klosner has been at Dudley School for the past 10 years. Her previous roles include preschool special education teacher, kindergarten and first grade self-contained special education teacher, 1st and 2nd grade consultant teacher, special education coordinator for summer school programming. For the past four years, she has served as the lead teacher at Dudley.
Klosner received her Educational Leadership from the University of Rochester, along with her Master of Science in Education (majoring in special education birth through 6th grade) and Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, both from the SUNY College at Potsdam.
“Sarah Klosner has been integral to everything that we have accomplished at Dudley School over the past 10 years,” said Dudley Principal Karen Finger, Ed. D. “Her love of Dudley School and all that it entails has never been questioned – Mrs. Klosner is a gem and I am looking forward to deepening our partnership!”
As resident of Webster with her husband, Matt, and children, Daniel and Lillian, Klosner said she is deeply humbled by the opportunity to be the next assistant principal at Dudley School.
“My passion is deep rooted in ensuring the success of every child,” she said. “I am looking forward to strengthening my relationships with students and families, and joining our leadership team in developing greater consistency across all areas to better meet the needs of our community. I am excited to serve our Dudley Dragons in this new role!”
Klosner will begin her new position on July 1. She replaces Ryan Charno, who will become the principal of Jefferson Avenue School.
