Fairport Central School District

The buildings and schools at Fairport Central School District are busy during the summer months. This summer was no exception, as the District spent the past several weeks working through facilities and site work improvements before students return on Sept. 4.

While students attended several summer school offerings and staff participated in numerous professional development and curriculum planning opportunities, facility improvements were being completed throughout the District, including building maintenance that occurs regularly, facility projects and site work. Highlights of this work include:

  • updated phone systems
  • renovated auditorium into a large group instruction area at Brooks Hill
  • new student drop off area at Jefferson Avenue
  • new building entryway at Jefferson Avenue
  • bus loop and parking lot paving projects districtwide
  •  library renovations at Dudley School
  • gym painting at Fairport High School and Martha Brown
  • Classroom renovations at Fairport High School to now function as modern learning environments
  • student restroom renovation at Minerva DeLand

In addition, the new Transportation Center has been occupied by the District and is fully operational. The demolition of the old building is complete, and the parking lot is nearing completion (will be complete the first week of September).
