Fairport High School is being recognized as a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced on Oct. 1 that Fairport High School is one of 349 schools recognized as a National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2018.
“We are proud to be a part of the recognition that honors excellence in our schools,” said Fairport Central School District Superintendent Brett Provenzano. “We strive to provide opportunities that are meaningful and relevant to our students’ experiences academically and social-emotionally. We are fortunate to have a board of education that is committed to making sure we have the proper resources to achieve these goals.”
Fairport HS has been selected as an Exemplary High Performing School. Exemplary High Performing Schools are among their state’s highest performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests.

The coveted National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.

Congratulations on your students’ accomplishments and for your extraordinary commitment to meeting their unique needs.”
Now in its 36th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed recognition on more than 8,800 schools.
