Northside School fourth-graders Sidney Reed and Ellie Miller challenged Northside staff and students to collect 250 items (household and clothing) during a one-week period in April to help support the Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (RAIHN).
The students exceeded their goal and collected 349 items and donated the items to RAIHN Director Kim Hunt-Uzelac in early May. Hunt-Uzelac thanked the students for their efforts.
“I am extremely proud of our Northside Heros for making a difference for those in need,” said Principal Carolyn Shea. “This project was in the spirit of giving and community service by two outstanding fourth grade girls.”
