The Fairport Central School District invites all school community members to a forum on the Safety, Security and Well-Being of Students and Staff, Tuesday, March 13 at Fairport High School, room 512, from 6:45-8 p.m.
Roberts Wesleyan College Associate Professor Mark J. Concordia will be the keynote speaker. Mr. Concordia is an accomplished (retired) detective sergeant, a recognized expert in the field of counter terrorism and police investigation, and a certified threat manager.
The forum will offer school community members information about safety, security and the social-emotional well-being of students and staff. The forum will include a question and answer period with a panel of experts. Resources will also be provided for attendees.
Panel members will include Fairport Village Police Chief Sam Farina, Monroe County Sheriff Captain Sam Bell, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine Dr. Robert Weisman, Chief of Clinical and Forensic Services with the Office of Mental Health Kimberly Butler, and Fairport principals.
