Hello, my name is Nicole Harwood and I have been in education for 25 years. I graduated from UNCC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 98' and also obtained my K-12 teaching certificate in Gifted Education after my second year of teaching. I received my National Boards certification in Early Childhood, Teacher of the Year, and my Masters Degree in Education over the course of my teaching career. In 2011, I finally began my current journey as an AIG Specialist for CCS. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Martin, and our two children.
Being an AIG teacher allows me to work with a variety of grade levels and students. I teach higher level thinking lessons in every first and second grade classroom once a week, as well as work with students in small enrichment groups. I also teach third, fourth, and fifth grade AIG Resource classes. I love my job and look forward to each year with my students! Please feel free to contact me at anytime with concerns or suggestions.
