Mrs. Duke

Welcome to my 5th grade class! My name is Wendy Duke and this is my 25th year teaching fifth grade at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School. I graduated from Unc-Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I also recently completed the Gifted Local Endorsement of Educators Course through Cabarrus County Schools. Since I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, this school and community hold a special place in my heart!

I teach reading and science on a team with Ms. Dennis. Ms. Dennis teaches math and social studies. We are a united team with high expectations regarding academics, organization, discipline, and communication. Our goal is to help your child strive for his/her personal best in all areas. I look forward to getting to know you and your child. I want this to be an exciting and productive year for your child!
