Mr. McCormick

       I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself.  Hello, my name is Mark McCormick and I am in my 5th year in Cabarrus County. I am happy to be starting into my 5th year here in Cabarrus County. I come here via West Virginia with my wife, Megan, and three boys; Declan, Callen, and Flynn. My son Declan is currently a  4th grader, Callen a 3rd grader, and Flynn a 2nd grader.   I am going into my 20th year of teaching and my experience includes bnoth high school and elementary. In my years of teaching I have also been Assistant Athletic Director, and been head coach/ Coach for girls basketball, football, and softball. Outside of enjoying time with my family I enjoy sporting events and attending athletic events.

      When my students come into my classroom I want to make sure students to know that work will  be challenging at times, but each student would be capable of finding success if they put in the effort. I want my students to connect to the material different way to help better themselves. I have found  that technology and interaction are a good way for students to interact and learn.  Most importantly I want to instill in them a confidence to ensure success for all. 

       I go by something my father taught me a long time ago, which is "WORK HARD AND GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN!"
