Mrs. Deal

My name is Diana Deal and I am your Physical Education teacher!  I grew up in Cabarrus County and I am very honored to work in the school system I attended.  I studied at Appalachian State University, where I played softball and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education.  Upon graduating from ASU, I became a Graduate Assistant at Gardner-Webb University, where I received my Master of Arts Degree in Sports Science and Pedagogy.  In 2010, I was hired as a full-time Assistant Softball Coach at Gardner-Webb University.  I coached there for 5 years prior to moving back to Cabarrus County and beginning my teaching career at Pitts School Road Elementary.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing sports (softball & volleyball), and going to the lake.  Wakeboarding is my favorite summertime hobby.  This is my 10th year teaching elementary PE and I look forward to a great year at MPES!  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
