Hello! I was raised in Wilmington, N.C. so the beach has a special place in my heart. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have taught Kindergarten, first, second and fifth grade. I am so excited to begin my 12th year of teaching here at Odell Primary!
I am married to the love of my life. We have an energetic six year old daughter, one precious daughter on the way, and lots of tiny dogs. My family is really involved in my church, working with all age groups. We also enjoy hiking together, going to the beach, gardening, skim boarding, and traveling.
Individualized education is a central part of my classroom, as well as a nurturing and collaborative environment. Everyday is a new day to learn and grow as your child takes risks and participates in classroom tasks. Communication with parents is extremely important.
