Hello and welcome! My name is Cynthia Shine. While I am originally from Alabama, I have lived in North Carolina for the past thirty years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I continued my Education by going back to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to receive my Graduate Certificate in Special Education with a concentration in General Curriculum. I have spent the last eighteen years working full-time as a Teacher Assistant for the Cabarrus County Schools System at W. R. Odell Primary. Specifically, for the past two years, I have worked as an EC Teacher Assistant. It will be a very rewarding experience working with you all this year, and to continue to be a part of the Odell family.  I look forward to working with you and your child, with one common goal: to encourage, empower and help our children function on the highest level possible. I firmly believe teamwork is a very valuable asset in laying the groundwork in educating our children.
