Mrs. Verna Edwards

Welcome to Mrs. Edwards' second grade class website.  First, let me tell you something about myself.  I have lived in four different countries.  I was born in the Philippines, lived in Saudi Arabia, and moved to New Jersey when I was 9 years old.  I was raised in New Jersey, and moved to NC during university. I went to UNC Charlotte at the College of Education.   Soon after graduation, I moved to South Korea and taught English at a middle school in Seoul for two years! It was a wonderful experience traveling in Asia.  This is my tenth year as a classroom teacher in America and twelfth year teaching overall. I taught at Weddington Hills for seven years in first and second grade, and am IB PYP trained. This is my third year at Odell Primary. I feel my experiences will help me make this year a great and exciting one for our class.
