Mrs. Brooke Nelson

Welcome to Mrs. Nelson's Second Grade!

My name is Brooke Nelson, and I am excited to be your child’s second grade teacher this year.  Second grade is a year full of excitement, friendship and a lot of learning.  We are going to have an amazing time growing this year!

This is my 11th year of teaching.  I have taught in South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Thailand, Virginia, and North Carolina!  Last year was my first year teaching at Odell!

I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and from George Mason University with my Masters. Through ongoing Professional Development, I continue to grow as an educator to meet the needs of all students that enter through my classroom door.  

My husband and I have two daughters; Piper is eight years old and in third grade, and Teagan is six years old and in first grade. In my free time I love taking photographs and spending time at the beach.
