Mental Health Month raises awareness of trauma and the impact it can have on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, families, and communities. The purpose of Mental Health Awareness Month is to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness by increasing awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness and celebrating recovery from mental illness.
