Parent Welcome Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                   

        Welcome to 1st grade!  My name is Rebecca Revels and I am going to be your child’s 1st grade teacher this year!  I am so excited that your child is going to be in my class!!

        Let me first start by sharing some information about myself professionally and personally.  This is my 6th year teaching here at Charles E. Boger Elementary School and I am very excited about what the school year holds!  Here at Charles E Boger, I have taught 1st grade for 4 years, 3rd grade for 1 year, and kindergarten for 1 year. Prior to coming to Boger, I taught kindergarten and second grade at Royal Oaks Elementary School in Cabarrus County. I graduated from Pfeiffer University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and my K-6 teaching license.  I am originally from Locust, North Carolina but currently live in Harrisburg, North Carolina.  I have a husband, 3 sons, 1 daughters, and 2 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family. In my spare time I like to shop, read while sitting in the sun, and having family gatherings.

        1sr grade is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning.  I am looking forward to a very exciting and productive year working with your child.  I will strive each day to make learning a fun and enriching process for your child.  However, I need your help in making this year as successful as it can be!  I believe that you and I are a team working together to help your child develop emotionally and academically.  You are the most important person in your child’s life and you are also a teacher in your child’s life.  I know if we work together and communicate, your child will have a very successful year!  Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have during the year. I can be reached here at school 704-260-6130 Ext: 106 or by email
