I am beyond excited to be a Boger Beacon! As a member of this administration team, I plan to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, families, and the community to do what is best for our students. I am a Cabarrus County native and graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. For 16 years, I served as a classroom teacher of 3rd and 4th grade at Mount Pleasant Elementary School here in Cabarrus County. While in the classroom, I pursued my National Board Certification and a Master's Degree in Reading Education K-12 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I loved every minute of being in the classroom with my students, but my true passion is educational leadership. I was fortunate to be chosen by the County to attend the High Point University Leadership Academy where I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Since graduating my program, I spent time working at Northwest Cabarrus High School and Central Cabarrus High School as an interim Assistant Principal. My first two years as a full time Assistant Principal were spent at Charles E. Boger Elementary School, before I was asked to go and help open a brand new school in our County. It is with great excitement that I am able to return to my Boger family as Principal this year! Our school community is full of wonderful people, working towards a common goal. Let's work together to make this the most amazing year for our students!

I am looking forward to another amazing year at Boger! I grew up in Houston, Texas so I love the Cowboys, Texans, Rockets, and the Astros.  I do love the Panthers, both my children are North Carolina Natives, so naturally we support love all things Charlotte.

Prior to coming to Boger I worked at Concord Middle School and completed my Principal internship at W.M. Irvin Elementary School.  Before becoming an educator, I worked in Community Outreach as a Health Educator for many years.  I completed my bachelor’s degree in Health Science Education from the University of Florida, where I met my husband (married 24 years)!  GO GATORS!!!!! I am a mother of two amazing children. I completed my Masters in Administration through the NC Principal Fellows Program at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

I strongly believe that you must support and grow the whole child.  I am very inspired by our future leaders and it drives me to the best that I can to help them achieve all that they can and want.  My number one priority are our children, I believe that working together we will help them achieve success in all areas of their life.  Please feel free to reach out to me at any time to discuss any questions, comments or concerns that you may have about your child.
