Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! This is my 20th year teaching. I am originally from Long Island, New York. After graduating with my Bachelor's degree in secondary education mathematics in 2003 from York College of Pennsylvania, I moved to North Carolina to begin my teaching career. I got my Master's degree in education with a concentration in math in 2007 from Appalachian State University. I have been at Winkler since it opened in 2011. I also teach a math class at West Cabarrus High School. In 2014, I became a National Board Certified Teacher. Along with teaching, I serve as AIG chair.
 
I have high expectations of my students academically and behaviorally. I expect my students to always work hard, try their best, and exhibit self-control, responsibility, and kindness.
