Safe Routes to School

  • Washington State law requires that school districts identify safe walk routes to school for elementary students. Per the guidelines set by the State, in order to be considered safe, walkways must be either paths or sidewalks separated from the street or street shoulders at least 5' in width. All routes must be within one mile of the school. These maps identify all routes identified as safe for Bainbridge Island elementary students.
