Classified Benefits
Classified employees working 6 hours per day/30 hours per week or more are currently offered benefits through the Self-Insured Schools of California, commonly referred to as SISC. Classified staff are able to select one of the following medical plans:
- Blue Shield HMO
- Blue Shield Save Net HMO
- Blue Shield G20 PPO
- Blue Shield G30 PPO
- Kaiser Permanente HMO
- Kaiser Permanente DHMO

Additionally, all classified employees working 6 hours per day or more are enrolled in a District-paid disability policy through American Fidelity.
All classified employees, regardless of hours worked, are enrolled in a District-paid life insurance policy through Lincoln Financial. The amount of coverage is as follows:
- $20,000 group term life and accidental death and dismemberment for themselves
All medical, dental, and vision plans are currently offered to single enrollees at no cost. There is a premium for 2-party and family enrollment. To view costs, click here.
