Coping With Change
Sometimes change can be a wonderful thing and at other times it can be overwhelming, especially when it is extreme and sudden. When this happens, someone may not be prepared. This can lead to fear and anxiety. Here are some ways to cope with change.
- Acknowledge the situation
- Awareness is the first step
- You can start planning how to manage the situation
- Can give you a greater sense of control
- Allows you to start moving forward
- Be aware of your feelings

- It’s okay to have feelings and emotions
- Try some techniques for emotion regulation if you’re overwhelmed

- Slow and rhythmic breathing
- Keep up with a regular schedule as much as possible
