What is the LEA Collaborative?

  • The purpose of the Alvord Unified School District LEA Collaborative is to reinvest federal funds received through the LEA Billing Option Program.

    The Collaborative is made up of volunteer Administrators, Service Providers and Community Partners.  

    Federal funds are reinvested in our students in the following areas (pursuant to CA Ed Code 8804(g)):

    • Health Care
    • Mental Health Services
    • Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Services
    • Family Support and Parent Education
    • Academic Support Services
    • Counseling
    • Services and Counseling for Children who Experience Violence in their Communities
    • Nutrition Services
    • Youth Development Services
    • Case Management Services
    • Provisions of On-Site Medi-Cal Eligibility Workers
    • Assessment/Testing

  • With the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, all Medi-Cal Beneficiaries are required to go through the redetermination process in order to keep their Medi-Cal Benefits.
