Sarah Eichler
Hello, my name is Ms. Eichler (ike-ler) and I am proud to be a member of the Bobcat community! I teach English 1 and 3 and all levels of Dance!
After my undergraduate at UC Santa Barbara, I moved to New York City and danced professionally with many contemporary and modern dance companies. Teaching outreach dance in underprivileged schools in the city reminded me of my passion for teaching and inspired me to obtain my Master of Education and teaching credentials in both English and PE/Dance from the University of San Diego.
I teach because I love to learn. I know as a teacher it is my job not only to facilitate learning, but continue to learn from my students, from other educators, and from current research. I also teach because I love children and believe in their strengths and potential for success. I am continually honored to be a part of their growth. I strive to make my classroom a community that encourages risk-taking, in-depth conversations, and creative and academic work. Coming to school should be the highlight of the day--it is for me! And I hope to contribute to my students feeling the same way.
Every day is an opportunity for growth; I am proud to be growing with the Bobcats!
