Mascot Selection Process
Step 1: These two steps were employed in selecting the final 4 mascot options.
- A sample of 1,176 California high schools were cross-referenced to develop a short list of mascots that were not frequently used. (click here to preview list)
- The following four variables were used to filter mascot options:
· It is pertinent to our region
· Our school colors will complement it
· It has a high level of originality/uniqueness
· It can generate an element of school spirit
Step 2: Students and families in grades K-9th grade were asked to rank the following four options:
