I have proudly been teaching in the Carlsbad Unified School District for most of my career and teaching at Sage Creek since 2016. My philosophy is to bring an appreciation of the social sciences, specifically Psychology, Economics and World History to the next generation of students. The concepts learned will help them become more informed and engaged citizens in the future.
I am passionate about representing and advocating for underrepresented groups while teaching tolerance and coping skills. In our ever changing world filled with diverse people from diverse backgrounds, they bring a unique and important perspective to the classroom and beyond.
I am a devoted husband, proud father and believe strongly in balancing career and family. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy the outdoors, going to museums, listening to podcasts, reading books, writing/blogging, volunteering and building things.
Most days you can find me passionately sharing ideas and teaching concepts to children while bringing them important social science concepts. I am always growing and evolving as an educator and feel very fortunate to share my passion with your child.
