Scholarships
In the 2022-23 school year SCHS students were the recipients of over 30 local scholarships earning more than $100,000. It PAY$ to take the time to research scholarship opportunities and apply! The SCHS Counseling department will list current local scholarships below. In addition, students should check the Scholarships tab in Naviance for many other opportunities based on specific criteria. Make sure you are aware of how to avoid scholarship scams.
City of Oceanside, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship - For graduating seniors who reside in Oceanside. DEADLINE is April 18, 2023
Cal Coast Cares Foundation - more than $130,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors and foster students in San Diego and Riverside Counties to help them pursue their dreams of obtaining a college education. DEADLINE is April 30, 2023
Dr. John Halcón Memorial Scholarship - for high school seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher, who will enroll as a full-time student this coming Fall Semester/Quarter in a Western Associations of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited Community College or University or a Trade School leading to an Associate, Bachelor’s degree OR a Trade school degree.
