Bio

Hello!

This is my second year at Sage Creek High School and my 16th year as a high school teacher.

Originally from Inland North County, I spent 7 years teaching in the same district where I graduated high school. Prior to that I have had secondary teaching experiences include public and private schools in several other counties and states, helping build a diverse understanding of education. I have also been an adjunct professor of art at several colleges.

In addition to teaching, I own and operate a portrait photography studio. I have been fortunate to receive many merits from the Portrait Masters Awards for my photographs.

I received my M.A. in Art Education at the University of Arizona and B.S. in Interior Design and Photography from Northern Arizona University.

In 2020, I added the title of new mom to my resume.

When not at work, I enjoy time with my family; you might spot us walking in Carlsbad as we live locally. I also enjoy art, yoga, hiking, paddleboarding, travel, and pugs!
