Danny Kung
I teach to inspire, help with personal growth and create people who want to make a difference in the world.
My name is Danny Kung. It has always been a passion of mine to work with students and to help develop them into fully fledged adults who will go onto bigger and better things when they leave the walls of school. The challenge of making leaders is helping them realize how much of a difference they can actually make and empowering them. Aside from developing leaders, I enjoy teaching my 9th grade PE classes and Strength & Conditioning classes about the importance of physical education and the many benefits it has in one's life. My goal is to create a physically fit students who are engaged in and out of school, albeit sports, school events, community service, etc...
I was the head track and field coach at La Jolla High School where we won 2 league championships, 2 CIF-SDS titles (one in the boys and one in the girls) and a CIF-SDS runner up in the girls. As head track coach at Sage Creek, we have won 2 league titles, 2 CIF-SDS titles and sent 12 athletes to the CA State Track and Field Championships.
We are always on the lookout for new students who are interested in running, hurdling, throwing or jumping to continue building our phenomenal track program
I'm originally from Sonoma County in Northern CA and since coming to San Diego for college 20 years ago, I haven't left. Outside of the school walls, I have many interests that stem from running, golf, surfing to cooking and fine arts. You'll always find me running around campus doing many things, but I always have time for my students. I'm always excited to be here on our great campus of Sage Creek!
