This is my seventh year teaching at Sage Creek, and I feel so fortunate to be a part of this Bobcat community. I subscribe to a growth mindset in which our failures provide opportunities for us to learn and grow. As an English teacher, I hope to guide my students toward self-actualization: to help my students realize their talents, their potential, and their passions. My hope is that all of the students who pass through my class will leave equipped with the language, critical thinking, and analytical skills necessary to be successful in the future.
A little bit about me:
I've been married for six years to my incredible wife, Rachel, who encourages me in my ongoing pursuit to learn more, to take on new challenges, and to be a responsible and informed citizen. We have two young children who keep us busy. We enjoy reading, spending time with family, getting outside as often as we can, and we are constantly looking for ways to travel and see the world (on a budget). My current goals, besides being an effective English teacher, are to get more involved with my community, learn to play the guitar, and write a children's book that my wife will illustrate.
