PCHS Class of 2023 Senior Spotlight: Ryder Morgan

🥳Senior Spotlight Time!

💙Help us congratulate Class of 2023 PCHS Senior, Mr. Ryder Morgan!

🤍Ryder is the son of Justin Morgan and Angela Morgan.

🎯Ryder's favorite quote: "I always thought it was me against the world and then one day I realized It's just me against me."- Kendrick Lamar

🎯Ryder was involved in DECA.

✅We asked Ryder what his advice would be for incoming freshmen. He said, "My advice for incoming freshmen is you have to be here for 4 years, you may as well make the best of it!"

🤍💙Ryder told us, "After graduation, I plan to keep working at the job I have now for a while. I will also get my CDL and get a few trucking jobs calling cattle for some people I know. Move into a house of my own and feel how living on your own is."

😂Funniest moment at PC: "I have had lots of funny memories here, probably too many to count. But, my funniest memory would probably have to be my senior year classes with Coach Cal. Cole and I would always mess with him and hide his things. It is funny to see him try to get mad. He's pretty calm."

💙We asked Ryder what his favorite class was at Putnam. He told us, "My favorite class was probably Apparel and textiles because everyone knows how much me and a sewing machine get along."

😎When asked where Ryder sees himself in 5-10 years, He replied, "In 5-10 years I see myself around Southern Iowa/ Northern Missouri owning a few hog barns, having several cattle, doing some farming, doing a little bull haulin', and settling down getting married and starting a family of my own."

👧👦Ryder told us his most memorable moment was "getting out my freshman year halfway into the second semester for that darn Covid-19."  

💙When we asked what teacher or staff member had impacted him the most, Ryder replied: "That's a hard one! I can't narrow it down to 1, but the teachers that impacted me the most are Mrs. Owings, Ms. Tosspon, and Mr. Heidenwith. Mrs. Owings was very good about giving life advice about anything I needed help with. Ms. Tosspon is super funny and could always make me laugh and could make me have different outlooks on things. Mr. Heidenwith is just a cool dude, down-to-earth guy and I could always tell him things about life and he would listen and give me some ideas."
