PCHS Class of 2023 Senior Spotlight: Kennedee Beals

🥳Senior Spotlight Time!

👩🏼‍🎓Help us congratulate Class of 2023 PCHS Senior, Miss Kennedee Beals!

🤍Kennedee is the daughter of Justin and Angela Beals.

💙Kennedee's favorite quotes: "Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” “Life always offers you a second chance. It’s called tomorrow.” “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did” - Mark Twain

💙Kennedee's high school accomplishments: Basketball - freshman, & sophomore year FFA - * Area Beef Placement award * State FFA Degree.

Awards: Miss Missouri Teen Putnam Co. Fair Queen Community Service Queen StarJewel Queen * NYFW (New York Fashion Week) Runway Model * Overall Top Model * Overall Cover Girl * Student Achievement winner * Overall Highest Scoring Talent Routine * It Girl Model Magazine Feature.

💙We asked Kennedee what her advice would be for incoming freshmen. She said, "Speaking from experience, I encourage everyone to take each class and assignment seriously, and STUDY. Grades might not seem important to you now but when you’re applying to colleges they will. Most of all, if you need help with anything do not be afraid to tell someone whether it be school-related, mental health, etc. Someone is there and cares!"

😂Kennedee's funniest memory from high school: "My funniest memory from Putnam would have to be singing “Firework” by Katy Perry, with Logan Rowland in History class."

👩🏼‍🎓Kennedee plans to continue her education at Kirkwood Community College, cheering on the Eagles as part of the KCCDT (Kirkwood Community College Dance Team) to obtain an associates degree in nursing. She then plans to work as a travel nurse, while specializing in obstetrics and/ or mental health.

💙We asked Kennedee what her favorite class was at Putnam. She told us, "English, along with Ag would have to be my favorite classes! English class has helped me express my emotions by teaching me how to use language to communicate my feelings effectively. I’ve learned how to use descriptive words and phrases to convey my emotions in a way that other people can understand. Agriculture is important to me because it's a part of my family heritage and livelihood. Growing up on a family farm has likely taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, and the importance of taking care of the land. Additionally, agriculture plays a vital role in providing food, fuel, and fiber for people around the world. As a farmer, you are contributing to the sustainability of our planet and helping to feed the growing population. Agriculture class is important because it teaches students about the science, economics, and social aspects of agriculture. It also helps students understand the role of agriculture in society and the importance of agriculture in providing food, fuel, and fiber for people around the world. Studying agriculture can also lead to career opportunities in the agriculture industry".

🎯When asked where she sees herself in 5-10 years, Kennedee replied, "In 5-10 years I plan to be working as an RN. Traveling as a nurse, seeing what the world has to offer, and making memories. Within 10 years, I hope to be settled down wherever God chooses, and starting a family of my own."

🎀Kennedee told us about her most memorable moment: "My most memorable moment in Putnam, is winning Fair Queen, & Miss Missouri Teen. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in community events, volunteer at local organizations, and promote community involvement. Additionally, holding these titles has helped me develop leadership skills, public speaking skills, and confidence. These skills can be used to inspire others and encourage them to get involved in their community as well. Overall, winning the titles I have, has been a great way for me to make a positive impact on my community and inspire others to do the same."

💙We asked what teacher or staff member at Putnam has had the biggest impact on her and why. She said, "There’s been multiple teachers and staff that have had a huge impact on me, throughout the years! Putnam County is very lucky to have these wonderful people! Mrs. Owings, she has helped me find my love for English, and continued to encourage me with every obstacle I faced. Mrs. Fitzpatrick, was like a second mom to me, very supportive of me, and my family. She was always someone I could talk to, and she never failed to leave a smile on my face. All three Ag. advisors I’ve been blessed with, Mr. Morris, Mr. Bondy, and Mrs. Cowles, have helped me grow as an individual tremendously. Coming from a large family farm, I never thought there was anything more I could learn about this industry. I was wrong, I’ve learned so much and I couldn’t be more thankful for these three who have pushed me, for the better. Mr. and Mrs. Watt, I appreciate their encouragement, and support throughout the years! They’ve both played a role in developing me into the person I am today. I look up to them as teachers and individuals in the community. Most importantly I’ve always had them to lean on no matter what. They’re wonderful, caring, individuals!"

Congratulations, Kennedee! We are #PutnamProud of you! #pchsclassof2023
