Kindergarten Snow Ball Fight!

Yes, you heard right!  We had a "snowball" fight in our classroom!  We are working on segmenting and blending phonemes (sounds) in words to help us read and write.  I give the students a word, we "tap" out the sounds with our fingers, then we write the word on paper as we identify each sound.  We repeat this process with 2-3 words, crumple our papers up, and throw them like snowballs!  After several throws, we repeat the same process.  This is a fun and engaging way to practice sounding out and writing words!  I think their favorite part was throwing their snowballs at me!
