How do I fix inverted colors on my Chromebook?
The feature that allows color inversion on a Chromebook is to assist with accessibility. However, on occasion this setting can be accidentally activated. There are a couple ways to fix this.
To toggle color inversion on/off using a keyboard shortcut:
- Turn your Chromebook on
- Log in
- Select Ctrl+Search+h (Note: the Search button is where Caps Lock usually is - it has a magnifying glass on it)
To toggle color inversion on/off in Settings:
- Turn your Chromebook on
- Log in
- Select the clock
- Select the "Settings" gear
- Scroll down and select "Advanced" to expand the menu
- Locate the "Accessibility" menu
- Select "Manage Accessibility Features"
- Under "Display" turn off "Use high contrast mode"
