Mrs. Rachel Sparks has been teaching kindergarten at Cherokee Bend for the past two years. Before that, Rachel and her family moved to Mountain Brook from Memphis, Tennessee. Rachel graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, and then from The University of Tennessee with a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education. She has experience teaching first, second, and third grades in Nashville, Knoxville, and Germantown, and is excited to begin her fifteenth year as an educator. Rachel and her husband, Todd, have two daughters. Rooney is in kindergaten, and Marjorie is in first grade. Both are here at Cherokee Bend. Rachel is looking forward to getting to know her parents and students and feels so honored to have the opportunity to teach at CBS!
