Sarah Derryberry
Sarah Derryberry received her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education with dual licensure for General Education from Western Governors University. She currently resides in Spring Hill, Tennessee with her husband Blair and baby boy, Cooper. Her favorite things to do outside of the classroom are prank her husband, watch storms roll in, and enjoy the simple things in life with her family. She is looking forward to another exciting year as a Battle Creek Cub!

Laura Johnston
Laura Johnston is originally from Bartlett, Tennessee. She earned her degree from The University of Memphis in 2006. She and her husband moved to Atlanta in 2013 where she worked as a Cognitive Learning Specialist and Educational Consultant. Laura and her husband returned to Tennessee with their young son in 2019, and she decided to return to the traditional classroom setting at Battle Creek! This is her sixteenth year in education.

Katelyn Rust
Katelyn received her Bachelor's of Science in Child and Adolescent Development with an emphasis Elementary Education from California State University of Fullerton. She is in the process of getting her Master's in Reading from Arkansas State University. She has been a classroom teacher for 7 years and has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 4th, 5th, and 8th. When she is not in the classroom she is spending time with her family either reading or planning their next Disney vacation.

Madison Skidmore
Madison Skidmore is a Tennessee native celebrating her sixth year of teaching. Mrs. Skidmore is a graduate of the University of North Alabama and her previous years of experience were spent in fifth and sixth grade classrooms. Mrs. Skidmore is now excited to be teaching at Battle Creek Elementary as a Fourth Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Mrs. Skidmore's hobbies outside of the classroom include spending time with family and husband, Tyler; reading mystery novels, and taking her Pomeranian Teddy and Goldendoodle Gucci for walks in the park.

Kaci Sestito
Kaci Sestito grew up in a suburb outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Temple University where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She moved to Spring Hill with her husband to be closer to her two nieces. In her spare time, Kaci loves to read, watch movies, and spend time with her nieces.

Amy Varga
Amy Varga is a fourth-grade teacher at Battle Creek Elementary. She taught middle school for thirteen years, and this is her fourth-year teaching elementary school at Battle Creek since the building opened. Amy resides in Spring Hill, TN where she lives with her husband and two children. She loves being active and running long distances and ultra-marathons. She also enjoys hiking, swimming, biking, and any sport or activity outdoors.
