Jennifer Baillargeon
Jennifer Baillargeon is a third grade teacher at BCES. She has teaching experience in both public and private schools. She hopes to inspire students to develop a strong work ethic and a love of learning. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest has created a love of the outdoors which includes hiking, camping, boating and cycling. She is grateful to be part of such a loving and caring school community.

Tabitha Bilbao
Tabitha Bilbao is a lifelong student advocate and educator. Teaching in public schools has been at the heart of her motivation. Tabitha spends summers working on professional development to ensure her students are successful and learning new ways to build relationships with her students. She has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Reading Education and is currently working on a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Teaching and building relationships will always be her passion. Tabitha Bilbao is proud to be a cub!

Emily Frost
Emily graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2021. Emily has always wanted to be a teacher since she was a little girl. Emily likes to be with family and friends and outdoors in her free time. At Battle Creek, Emily wants to help students meet and achieve their goals. Emily is looking forward to the hands on and STEM experiences with the students to develop a love for learning. It's great to be a cub!

Erica Gunter
Erica Gunter is a third-grade teacher here at Battle Creek Elementary. She has previously taught third grade for three years in MNPS. She student taught in both Williamson County and MNPS in a fifth and first grade class. Before that, she worked in Williamson County as a special education teacher assistant for five years.
Erica is originally from middle Tennessee, raised in the Nolensville/Brentwood area. She has been married for 4 years, has a one-year-old son, and one very energetic dog! She is excited to be here at Battle Creek and to help build a strong sense of community within her class and the school!

Dale Ploen
Mr. Ploen has been teaching for 18 years. He enjoys spending time with family and playing sports. As the math coach, Mr. Ploen loves working with numbers and dabbles in educational technology. He loves working with kids everyday and hopes to teach at BCES for many years to come.

Melissa Thompson
Mrs. Thompson taught 5th grade in Milwaukee, WI before making the move down to Tennessee where she taught literacy interventions to K-4 students in Metro Nashville Public Schools. She is very excited to begin her third year as part of the 3rd grade team at Battle Creek Elementary School and is absolutely thrilled to be your child’s teacher! She currently lives in Spring Hill with her husband, Owen, and cat, Alba. She enjoys reading, traveling, and going for hikes!
