Savannah Biddy
Mrs. Biddy is a native of Pulaski, Tennessee. She is married to her husband, Ben, and has a precious daughter named Marlee. She has been a member of the Cub Crew since Battle Creek opened! This is Mrs. Biddy's seventh year teaching first grade. Her favorite part of teaching first grade is watching children grow as readers throughout the year.

Jessica Hernandez
Jessica Hernandez excited to be your 1st grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This is her 10th year teaching. Her and her husband have a 4.5 year old daughter and a 9 month old son and live with their dogs Blue and Milo in Columbia. They enjoy living in Middle Tennessee and particularly love the outdoors. She is ready to make this the best school year yet!

Tisha Hundley
Mrs. Hundley is so excited to be a 1st grade teacher at Battle Creek. She has been teaching for 17 years and has taught all grades K-4, except 2nd. Her passion is 1st grade as she loves to lay the foundational skills of reading in young learners. Mrs. Hundley is a native Texan, but has enjoyed Tennessee being home for the past 13 years. She has been married for 18 years and has two teenage sons. Outside of the classroom and a ballfield, she loves to craft and travel. Mrs. Hundley looks forward to the relationships she will develop in the Battle Creek Community.

Makenna Lark
Makenna is a first grade teacher at Battle Creek. She recently moved to Spring Hill with her husband and her sweet two year old baby girl. She enjoys being outdoors but also loves a cozy night in. This is her fourth year teaching she is so excited to be a cub!

Danielle Sanabria
Mrs. Sanabria has been teaching for 10 years; 8 of those years have been in Maury county. She has mainly taught 1st and 2nd grade. She loves teaching young students the building blocks of reading and math. Mrs. Sanabria has been married to her husband, Melvin, for 11 years and they have two daughters. Sophia (7) is in 2nd grade at Battle Creek and Ophelia (5) just started Kindergarten at Battle Creek. Her family also has two dogs, Lucy and Jack Jack. In her free time, Mrs. Sanabria enjoys working out, watching movies, and having fun with her girls!

Samuel Shewbart
Samuel Shewbart is a first grade teacher at BCES! He student taught with our 2nd grade team while in college and started working here last year. He attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated in Spring 2021. This is his second year teaching. The thing he enjoys most about teaching is building relationships with his students and their families. While not at school, Mr. Samuel enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and listening to music.
