Ms. Burlingame and her fiance, Marc, live in Chapel Hill. Ms. Burlingame has three children two in college and one in elementary school. The family loves to hang out by their firepit in the fall or by the pool in the summer. Stewie and Chloe, the faithful guard dogs, are never too far behind.

Kelsey Cornett
This is Ms. Cornett’s 2nd year teaching at BCES. She graduated from Tennessee Tech University where she got her degree in education. She seeks to teach children in an environment that makes them feel loved, safe, and accepted while giving them opportunities to learn and grow in fun collaborative ways. Some of Ms. Cornett’s hobbies include drinking coffee, reading, going to the gym, hiking, and kayaking. Her favorite kid’s book is “Oh the Places You will Go” by Dr. Seuss.

Ashley got her education at Middle Tennessee State University with a minor in Psychology. She has highly qualified to teach K-8 and has taught K-5 grades.. Ashley has 2 grown children, Morgan and Matthew Lovett. She also has two fur babies, Ruby and Georgia. Ms. England loves working with a team and providing a positive learning environment for all. What she likes most about teaching is interacting with her students, learning from them, and facilitating in their learning. She has been with Maury County Public schools since 2017 and with Battle Creek Elementary since the opening in the fall of 2019. Mrs. Welck is a native of Franklin, TN. She and her husband moved to Columbia in 2013. They have two daughters, Clara (9) is in 3rd grade at Battle Creek and MaryAnna (7) is in 1st grade. This is Mrs. Welck’s 20th year teaching, but her first year at Battle Creek. In her free time you can find her spending time with her family or transporting her daughters from one activity to the next!
